When I started blogging, everyone said it will take months to get indexed in Google. Thanks God (Google) My site was indexed within a couple of days. But everyone is not lucky. Sometimes it really takes months to get crawled. I will not say the trick I am going to share is a sure shot but it has worked every time till now. I have seen folks getting listed in hours.

Till date the best way to perform on Google is to get more and more links. Every new blogger works hard on this. But amazingly most of the links you get as a new blogger are in blogrolls, Sidebars or comments of other blogs. These are the areas Google hardly cares.

If your blog is new and not listed, Look for a friend who has a site indexed on Google and ask him to put a link to any of your article (Not the homepage) in his latest post (Not in a previous post). If you dont have any article he can refer to, Just write one.

These type of links not only helps in getting indexed initially but also helps in getting a good page rank over the period. Give it a try and let me know if it does not work
